About Nourish
Nourish UNC is a student movement focused on addressing systems of social and economic injustice. Nourish operates within a social entrepreneurship model, raising funds through business ventures during the school year that are invested in sustainable development projects each summer. Partnering with community-based non-profit organizations around the world, Nourish works to promote natural rights such as public health, nutrition, sanitation, and education.
We consider ourselves a community of students committed to harnessing our resources and partnering with community-based organizations to make an impact on structures of social and economic inequality. We hope to develop skills to prepare ourselves to make an even greater impact later in life and to learn about development from the community-based organizations that do it best. Nourish is also an undeniably fun organization -- such ventures as Global Music Jam and Carolina's Got Talent are inherently awesome, but the overall quality of the people involved make Nourish UNC an experience sure to shape a college experience for the better.
TL;DR Nourish UNC is a student-run nonprofit that partners both locally and globally with community-based organizations to fund and implement projects that address community-identified needs.
