Committees
Nourish is organized into three main committees with an executive board that coordinates their operations: Projects, Ventures, and Hunger Lunch. Below you can find a description of each and their typical meetings times this semester. Although we have separated the committees here, many members work in more than one committee and are encouraged to do so. A more cohesive organization is a stronger one in our minds!
All meetings are held in the Campus Y on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00
Projects: This committee works throughout the year, evaluating the past summer's projects, identifying possible new partners and projects, corresponding with possible partners, selecting projects, putting together project teams, and providing support and training to make sure such projects are implemented with success. Often characterized by healthy debate, the international projects committee would be of great value to anyone interested in sustainable development. Check out some of our past projects here.
Ventures: Tasked with raising money to fund our projects, the ventures committee is a group of entrepreneurial minds who implement various business ideas throughout the semester. New ideas are always welcome, and we always seek to improve upon our past ventures--or, if necessary, move on to new ones. All ideas are taken into consideration, and often some of the most outlandish are the most successful. Whatever those may be, we are committed to creating ventures that provide a good or service that has inherent value to our community.
Membership: Recognizing the extent to which Nourish has grown over the past few years, the Membership Committee seeks to help our chapter grow smart. The committee is charged with helping Nourish build a strong sense of community centered around our mission and values through organizing pan-Nourish events. It also endeavors to increase on-campus awareness of Nourish's mission and the ideals of sustainable development while also making the organization more transparent.

Evaluations: The Evaluations Committee creates and conducts various surveys that aim to obtain qualitative and quantitative data to better understand the perspectives, backgrounds, and attitudes of participants and how Nourish business ventures and projects can better achieve our mission.

Marketing Collaborative: The Marketing Collaborative is a task force enacted to translate the Nourish mission and ventures to the UNC community. These efforts include maintaining the Nourish website and social media presence as well as supporting committees with flyers, posters, and creative marketing strategies to reach the Carolina community.

Hunger Lunch: The Hunger Lunch committee is composed of volunteers who work to make HL run smoothly every week and seek to make it a more sustainable venture. Check it out on Facebook here.
